IN LOVING MEMORY OF MAXWELL NYAMUKANGA (MAX KANGETT) - May 7, 1972- September 18, 2025
To know Maxwell Nyamukanga, fondly known as Max Kangett, was to be touched by laughter, wisdom, and music. Born on May 7th, 1972, at Howard Hospital in Zimbabwe, Max lived a life rich with curiosity, creativity, and love until his passing on September 18th, 2025, at London Barts Hospital. Max’s sense of humour was infectious—he had a rare gift for making others laugh and feel at ease, no matter the setting. His quick wit and playful spirit could light up even the most ordinary moment, reminding those around him that joy was always within reach. Beneath that light-heartedness was a deeply thoughtful and driven man. Max’s love for learning was boundless; he approached every challenge with focus, depth, and enthusiasm, embodying the true spirit of an academic. Music was his heartbeat. Whether playing the harmonica, guitar, trumpet, keyboard, piano, or mbira, Max expressed his soul through melody. His music connected people, filling rooms with warmth, rhythm, and life—just as he did in everything he touched. He is survived by his loving wife and children, who were the center of his world, and by his three cherished granddaughters, who brought him immense pride and joy. Though his earthly journey has ended, Max’s laughter, music, and legacy of love continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at Nyaradzo in Hertfordshire where family and friends will gather to honor a remarkable man whose spirit will remain forever unforgettable.
